Train Master is a casual rail puzzle. Your locomotive follows the tracks; at each junction, blue arrows let you pick the next path. Collect waiting passengers beside the rails and grab coins on the line until the level quota is full.
Train Master is a railway puzzle game where your goal is to guide the train around the tracks, pick up every passenger, and complete the level without crashing into your own coaches.
You begin with a short locomotive. As passengers board, the train grows longer, making each new turn more dangerous. The challenge is to choose safe routes at intersections, collect everyone on the map, grab coins when possible, and keep the locomotive away from the coaches following behind.
How to Play Train Master
At the start of a level, the train moves along a fixed railway network. When you reach an intersection, directional arrows show the available routes.

Choose the corresponding direction at an intersection to send the train onto that section of track.
Swipe or choose the direction indicated by the arrow to make the train follow that track. Once the direction is selected, the locomotive continues along the rails automatically.
On desktop, you can also use WASD or the arrow keys to turn. Mouse click-and-drag controls are supported as well.
Pick Up Every Passenger
Passengers are positioned beside the railway. When your train passes them, they automatically board.

The passenger counter shows your progress. Here, 5 / 22 means five passengers have boarded out of twenty-two required.
Keep guiding the train through different sections of the railway until every required passenger has been collected.
There is one important complication: your train becomes longer as you collect passengers. Routes that were safe when the train was short can become dangerous later.
Complete the Level
Collect all required passengers without crashing to complete the stage.

Once every required passenger has been collected safely, the level is complete and you can continue to the next stage.
Later levels can feature more complicated railway layouts, tighter loops, and intersections that require more careful route planning.
Collect Coins
Gold coins appear around the railway during gameplay.

Guide the train through coins to collect them while continuing toward the remaining passengers.
Coins provide an additional reason to explore different parts of the track. However, passenger collection is still the main objective. If reaching a coin would send your long train into a dangerous loop, taking the safer route is usually better.
Unlock Different Trains
Tap the Trains button to open the train selection menu.

Use collected coins to unlock different train designs.
The menu contains multiple locomotive and carriage styles with different coin costs. Saving the coins you collect during levels lets you gradually unlock more train appearances.
Avoid Crashing Into Your Own Train
The biggest danger in Train Master is your own growing train.

As the train gets longer, a poor route can send the locomotive back into its own coaches and end the run.
Every passenger increases the train's length. On compact railway layouts, the locomotive can eventually loop back toward track that is still occupied by its own coaches.
If the locomotive collides with the train behind it, you crash and fail the attempt.
This creates a snake-like puzzle mechanic: collecting passengers moves you closer to victory, but every new coach also reduces the amount of safe track available.
Train Master Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| WASD | Choose a direction / turn |
| Arrow Keys | Choose a direction / turn |
| Mouse drag | Drag toward the desired direction |
| Touch / Swipe | Swipe toward the track you want to take |
The train follows the rails automatically. Your main interaction is choosing the correct direction when the railway branches.
Train Master Strategy
A good approach is:
- Study the track layout. Look for intersections, loops, passengers, and coins.
- Choose a safe direction. At each branch, think about where the selected track leads.
- Collect passengers. They board automatically as the train passes them.
- Watch the passenger counter. A display such as 5 / 22 tells you how many passengers you have collected.
- Collect coins when safe. Take coin routes when they do not create unnecessary collision risk.
- Remember that the train is growing. More passengers mean more coaches behind you.
- Track the position of your tail. Do not turn back into railway that is still occupied.
- Collect the final passengers carefully. The end of a level is often harder because the train is at its longest.
- Finish the level and continue.
Tips for Difficult Levels
Plan More Than One Turn Ahead
Do not only think about the intersection directly in front of the locomotive. Consider where the selected route will place you at the next intersection.
Remember Where Your Coaches Are
The locomotive may have cleared a corner while the rear of the train is still passing through it. Turning back too quickly can cause a collision.
Collect Passengers in an Efficient Order
If several groups of passengers are available, try to choose a route that collects them without repeatedly looping through the same compact section.
Do Not Risk the Level for Every Coin
Coins are useful for unlocking train designs, but collecting all passengers safely is the primary objective.
Be Extra Careful Near the End
The train is longest after you have collected most of the passengers. This is when self-collisions become especially easy.
Use Open Sections of Track
Longer stretches of railway can help spread out your coaches before you return to a tight intersection or loop.
Why Does Train Master Get Harder?
The controls stay simple. What changes is the amount of railway occupied by your own train.
At first, only the locomotive needs space. After many passengers board, a large part of the railway may be occupied by coaches.
The challenge therefore develops naturally:
collect passengers → train grows → safe space decreases → route planning becomes harder
That is the core puzzle behind Train Master.

What Skills Does Train Master Practice?
Route Planning
You need to decide which railway branch gives you a safe path toward the remaining passengers.
Spatial Awareness
You must keep track of both the locomotive and the long chain of coaches behind it.
Forward Thinking
A route that looks safe now may become dangerous after another turn. Thinking ahead helps prevent self-collisions.
Risk Assessment
Coins can tempt you toward longer routes. You need to decide whether the reward is worth the additional risk.
Pattern Recognition
Repeated play helps you recognize loops, bottlenecks, intersections, and other track patterns that become dangerous for a long train.
Problem Solving
Each stage acts like a moving route puzzle: find an order that collects every passenger while keeping enough railway open to survive.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Train Master?
Train Master is a puzzle game where you guide a locomotive around a railway network, collect passengers, and avoid crashing into your own growing train.
Who created Train Master?
Train Master was created by Mosu Games.
How do I control the train?
Use WASD, the arrow keys, mouse dragging, or touch/swipe controls to choose the direction of the train.
What does 5 / 22 mean?
It means that 5 passengers have boarded out of the 22 passengers required for the level.
How do I collect passengers?
Guide the train past passengers waiting beside the railway. They board as the train reaches them.
Why does the train get longer?
Each collected passenger adds to the train, increasing its length and making the railway harder to navigate safely.
How do I complete a level?
Collect all required passengers without crashing into your own train.
How do I get coins?
Coins are placed around the railway. Route the train through them to collect them.
What are coins used for?
Coins can be spent on different train designs in the Trains menu.
Why did I crash?
Your locomotive can collide with coaches from its own train. This becomes more likely as the train grows longer and occupies more of the railway.
Is Train Master a racing game?
No. It is primarily a route-planning puzzle game. Choosing safe paths is more important than speed.
Play Train Master
Train Master starts with a simple decision: choose a direction and collect the passengers beside the railway. But every passenger makes the train longer and every new coach makes the next turn more important.
Plan your route through the intersections, collect all passengers, grab coins when it is safe, unlock different trains, and always keep track of the coaches behind you.
The longer your train becomes, the more carefully you need to plan your next turn.
